Zenzey records rehearsals and writes a recap of what happened. To do that it needs the audio, and the audio of a rehearsal carries the voices of the whole group. This page says exactly what is kept, where it goes, how long it lasts and how it gets deleted.
Who is responsible for this data
If you are in Chile, the data controller is Dustkey Chile SpA. From any other country, Dustkey LLC. For any question, or to exercise the rights described below: info@dustkey.com.
The conditions for using the service are in the terms of service.
What is kept
- Your account. Email address and, if you type them, your name and your band's. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, Zenzey only sees the relay address Apple generates; never the real one.
- The session audio. It is recorded on your phone and uploaded so it can be transcribed.
- The recap. The summary, the songs detected, the decisions, the tasks and the ideas that come out of the analysis, plus whatever you edit by hand.
- The clips. The audio fragments of each song, cut out of the rehearsal.
- The photos you attach to a session or a project.
Zenzey does not use voice to identify anyone. It builds no voiceprints or biometric profiles, and it does not try to recognize who is speaking.
Who it is shared with
Only with the providers needed for the app to work:
- Deepgram (United States) transcribes the audio to text.
- Anthropic (United States) writes the recap from that transcript.
- Supabase (United States) stores the account, the recap and the files.
- Microsoft Azure (Chile) runs the Zenzey server.
Nothing is sold, rented or handed to advertisers. There are no ads in Zenzey and no third-party trackers for advertising purposes.
How long each thing lasts
The full rehearsal audio is deleted from the server as soon as the clips are cut, usually a few minutes after upload. What stays stored is the clip of each song and the recap, not the whole three hours nor the conversation between songs.
The recap, the clips and the photos are kept as long as your account is open. The copy that lives on your phone is under your control, and you can delete it from the session itself.
If you leave your email on the waitlist on the website, we keep it for one thing only: to let you know when we open. We share it with no one and delete it as soon as you ask, or when it is no longer needed. Write to info@dustkey.com.
The links you share
Sharing a recap creates a public link with an address that cannot be guessed. Anyone who has that link can open it without installing anything or creating an account, so share it only with the people it is meant for. When you delete the session, the link stops working.
Recording other people
Whoever records is responsible for telling the rest of the group that the session is being recorded and that the audio will be processed as described here. Any member can ask you to delete a session, and you can do so from the app at any time.
Your rights
You can access your data, correct it, take it with you or delete it. The most direct way is inside the app:
- Delete a session — swipe the session in the history. The audio, the recap and the link all go.
- Free up the audio and keep the recap — from the recap itself.
- Delete the whole account — in Profile, “Delete my account”. It deletes your sessions, recaps, clips, photos and the account itself. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
If you are in Chile, Law 21.719 also grants you the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability. Write to info@dustkey.com and we will answer.
Children
Zenzey is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above is updated. A change that affects how audio is handled is also announced inside the app.
Language
This is an English translation of the Spanish original. If the two ever differ, the Spanish version prevails.
